The primary objectives of the occupying forces at present are to deeply encircle Pokrovsk from the south and southwest, as well as to compel the Ukrainian troops to withdraw from the remnants of the Kurakhove salient.

This was shared by military analyst, coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, and retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Konstantin Moshovets, on his Telegram channel here.

According to the expert, it is likely that the Russian occupying forces will succeed in accomplishing both tasks sooner or later, although it remains unclear what further actions the enemy is planning.

"In my opinion, the command of the Russian troops operating in these directions will have to undertake several important and 'minimally necessary' actions beforehand," - stated Konstantin Moshovets.

Firstly, the expert believes that the Russians will need to regroup additional forces and resources towards the Pokrovsk direction; secondly, they must reorganize the forces and resources already deployed in the area of the 'Center' troop grouping; and thirdly, they need to reinforce all these units with personnel, weapons, and military equipment.

"Of course, all of this can be done, so to speak, 'on the go.' However, it is evident that the enemy will require a certain amount of time for this, during which they will inevitably have to reduce the intensity of their operations in these directions," - added Konstantin Moshovets.
