In the Sumy region of Russia, rescuers were fired upon while responding to the aftermath of a previous attack.

Rescue teams came under renewed fire from Russian forces while dealing with the aftermath of an attack in the Sumy region.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing State Emergency Service.

The State Emergency Service stated that rescuers were dispatched to a call in the Krolevets community. There, during a drone attack, a farm building was damaged, leading to a fire.

The rescuers quickly localized the blaze and prevented its spread.

However, while they were working, they heard the sounds of another enemy drone. Soon after, a "Shahed" drone struck near the site of the previous attack. Fortunately, the rescuers managed to retreat to a safe distance.

At the scene, the fire was extinguished, and preliminary reports indicate that no one was injured.

We remind you that in the Sumy region, air defense forces were active against enemy drones on the night of December 22. As a result of the attack, a fire broke out and there was damage.
