In Stockholm, Sweden, law enforcement detained an unidentified man. He attempted to drive into the Embassy of the Russian Federation.

According to the publication, the man was arrested and is suspected of attempting to breach the embassy grounds under aggravating circumstances after he drove through the embassy gates.

"He was still in the vehicle and could be easily arrested," said local police representative Daniel Vikdahl.

The police received a report about the incident at 06:54 (local time) on Tuesday. According to police, the detained individual is around 45 years old. He was unable to gain entry into the embassy.

At the same time, the Russian embassy in Sweden stated on Facebook that the driver was allegedly a citizen of Ukraine. Moreover, according to their information, the man reportedly attempted attacks on the Russian embassy in 2015 and 2018.

Recall that last November, unknown individuals attacked the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Stockholm. They dropped paint on the building from a drone.

Prior to that, unknown individuals carried out an attack on the Swedish embassy in Moscow. A group used gas canisters in the security area near the embassy. Local police detained them for these actions.
