At the end of October, the pro-Russian party "Georgian Dream" won the parliamentary elections in Georgia. Following this, the country's president, Salome Zourabichvili, and the opposition declared violations during the elections and did not recognize them. They stated that the parliament is illegitimate and called for protests.
Initially, the demonstrations in Georgia were peaceful, but after the new government's decision to postpone EU accession talks until 2028, large-scale protests began in Tbilisi and other cities. As a result, law enforcement was deployed, using water cannons, tear gas, and conducting arrests.
