Russian forces struck a village in the Kharkiv region, resulting in injuries to a child.

Russian occupiers carried out an airstrike on the village of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district of Kharkiv region. As a result of the enemy shelling, a girl was injured.

Russian occupiers carried out an airstrike on the village of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district of the Kharkiv region. A girl was injured due to the enemy shelling.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

The regional administration noted that the Russian invaders used a guided aerial bomb for the attack on the settlement.

The strike hit near a private house in Zolochiv.

Initially, the administration reported that a 14-year-old boy was injured in the shelling and suffered shrapnel wounds. The child was hospitalized in a medical facility.

However, later the regional administration provided updated information from medical sources indicating that a 14-year-old girl was injured.

Note: The village of Zolochiv in the Bohodukhiv district is located at the source of the Udy River, in the center of the Zolochiv community in the northwest of the Kharkiv region.

As of 2024, the population of this village was 500 people.

Since the onset of Russia's full-scale invasion, the occupiers have attempted to seize Zolochiv several times.

Shelling of Zolochiv

The settlement frequently suffers from enemy shelling. For instance, in April of last year, Russian troops struck the center of Zolochiv with S-300 missiles, resulting in damage to administrative buildings in the village.

Previously, in February 2024, Russian invaders shelled a hotel in Zolochiv with S-300 missiles. As a result of the attack, an infant was killed.
