The driver of the car fled from the Military Recruitment Center after being stopped by the police on the "Kyiv - Odesa" highway. However, he was apprehended anyway.
The details of the incident were shared by the police, as reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the Patrol Police of Odesa Region.
"Today, during their service at the traffic police station, inspectors stopped a Volkswagen vehicle," the statement said.
Upon checking the individual's identity through the INPP database (Information Space of the National Police), law enforcement confirmed that the citizen was wanted under Article 210 (Violation of Military Registration Rules) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
Immediately, the police called representatives from the Military Recruitment Center and the Security Service. In response, the driver suddenly began to move the vehicle, endangering the police and Military Recruitment Center personnel, and fled the scene.
"The car was eventually stopped on the M-05 highway 'Kyiv - Odesa' near the village of Nerubaiske. The driver was detained," the authorities noted.
The patrol officers compiled several administrative materials against the citizen and handed him over to the Military Recruitment Center and Security Service personnel.
As reported, employees of the Odesa District Military Recruitment Center demanded money from conscripts at checkpoints. In return, they offered "assistance" in obtaining deferments from mobilization.
Additionally, the State Bureau of Investigation completed a pre-trial investigation against an employee of the Malynivskyi Military Recruitment Center and Security Service in Odesa. He organized a scheme to evade mobilization.
