Climatologists have summarized November in Kyiv: the average temperature was just above freezing.

The average monthly air temperature in Kyiv for November 2024 was 2.7 degrees Celsius. This is 0.1 degrees above the climatic norm.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Central Geophysical Observatory.

The coldest days in the capital were November 25 and 27, when the minimum temperature dropped to -5.8 degrees Celsius in the early morning, while the warmest day was November 2, when the maximum temperature reached 12.4 degrees Celsius in the afternoon.

Precipitation at 37 Science Avenue amounted to 51 mm, or 111% of the climatic norm.

Recall that on November 5 in Kyiv, the air temperature dropped for the first time this autumn to -2.1 degrees Celsius. This indicates the end of the frost-free period, which lasted from April 21 – a total of 198 days.

According to meteorologists' forecasts, in December 2024, the average monthly air temperature in Ukraine is expected to range from -4 degrees to +2 degrees Celsius, which is close to the norm.

Thus, December will be 5-6 degrees colder than November, in which the average temperature is between +1 and +8 degrees Celsius.

December marks the beginning of meteorological winter – after the average daily temperature drops below 0 degrees, primarily in the first decade of the month, and in the south of the country in the second decade of December.

According to meteorologists' forecasts, Europe is expecting its coldest winter since the onset of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
