The battle lasted nearly a day: Ukrainian forces released footage of their victory over the occupiers near Kupiansk.

The Russian army attempted to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Kupiansk, taking advantage of the bad weather. Their efforts were unsuccessful.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, yesterday the enemy, under the cover of rain and fog, tried to expand their foothold on the left bank of the Oskil River in the Kupiansk direction.

The mechanized assault by the Russians occurred in two waves and lasted nearly the entire day. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the Defense Forces' units, the enemy's attack was repelled, and their equipment was destroyed.

During the defense against the attack, our warriors struck and eliminated 12 units of armored vehicles, as well as enemy infantry. One BMP-2 and two tanks were destroyed, while eight BMP-2s and one tank of the occupiers were damaged. The enemy lost 18 personnel irretrievably, and additionally, 6 occupiers were wounded.

Fighting for Kupiansk

Earlier, RBK-Ukraine reported that a group of Russian occupiers had likely broken through to Kupiansk. However, Ukrainian defenders managed to repel the attack.

As stated by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Anatoly Bargilevich, at this time, there is no threat to Kupiansk.

Additionally, at the beginning of December, in the area of the village of Novomlinske, Kupiansk district, the Russians attempted to seize and hold a foothold on the right bank of the Oskil River.
