The electricity tariff in Ukraine is set at 4.32 UAH per kWh - however, under certain conditions, it is possible to pay a tariff of 2.16 UAH per kWh.
As reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, the investment in a special meter will pay off in 5 months. The review of tariffs can only occur at the end of the heating season, but it may not happen.
According to the Ministry of Energy, when using a dual-zone meter, the "night tariff" will be 2.16 UAH per kWh. This means that owners of such meters can pay half for the electricity consumed between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
Any consumer can purchase a multi-zone meter, contact their supplier, and switch to the new tariff. For a three-zone meter, there are three tariffs:
- Night tariff (from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) – 1.728 UAH per kWh.
- Off-peak tariff (from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, from 10:00 PM to 11:00 PM) – 4.34 UAH per kWh.
- Peak tariff (from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM) – 6.48 UAH per kWh.
