On the Kupiansk direction, the forward units of the Russian occupation forces, which have established a foothold along the Oskol River south of the village of Dvurechna, have apparently managed to expand it somewhat.
This was reported by the coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, military expert, and retired colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Konstantin Mashovets, on his Telegram channel.
According to the expert, it is highly likely that the enemy has not only captured but is also confidently holding the southern part of the village of Dvurechna, and has managed to advance towards the Dvurechna - Kupiansk road in the direction of Zakhidne.
Konstantin Mashovets noted that this presents a more threatening situation concerning the future defense of Kupiansk than the efforts of the forward units of the enemy's 1st Tank Army, which are attempting to expand their control over the left bank of the Oskol River south of Kupiansk-Uzlovy.
Additionally, Konstantin Mashovets discussed the situation at the Vremivka direction. There, the command of the enemy's "East" grouping has evidently directed its main efforts in recent days towards the area of the 5th Combined Arms Army, attempting to encircle the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense area of Velyka Novosilka - Vremivka - Neskuchne from the west.
According to the expert, the occupiers are trying to expand their control over the road from Velyka Novosilka to Uspenivka between Novosilka and Vremivka, and while they have not yet broken through for the road, they are actively extending this incursion towards Neskuchne and Novosilka.
