The cost of milk, butter, and cheese continues to unpleasantly surprise Ukrainians in February 2025, reports Politeka.net.
According to the Minfin portal, prices for dairy products have increased in major retail chains such as Auchan, Metro, Megamarket, and Novus. For instance, the average price for "Krestyanskoye" butter with a fat content of 72.5% for 200 g is now 114.99 UAH, which is 1.49 UAH more than in January.
The "Yagotynske" butter at 73% fat content has also risen by 1.07 UAH, making its average cost 104.95 UAH. As for milk, the price of "Prostokvashino" with 1% fat content for a 900 ml package has increased by 4.29 UAH, now standing at 50.19 UAH, according to Politeka.
Meanwhile, "Yagotynske" milk with 2.6% fat content has decreased by 3.79 UAH and is priced at 49.57 UAH. There has also been an increase in the cost of cottage cheese. The "Prostokvashino" cheese with 9% fat content for 300 g has risen by 1.92 UAH, now costing 87.80 UAH.
Experts believe that the main reasons for the rise in dairy product prices are seasonal fluctuations, increased production costs, and a limitation in the domestic supply of dairy products.
