Clients of PrivatBank are expressing concerns about the institution's inaction in cases of fraud when applying for loans.
This information is reported in the reviews section on the Minfin website.
One of the affected customers of "PrivatBank" shared that fraudsters gained access to his daughter's phone and took out loans totaling 78,000 hryvnias. The bank approved the transactions without any verification or a call to confirm whether the customer had indeed initiated them.
"On January 13, the fraudsters accessed my daughter's phone. They withdrew money and took out loans amounting to 78,000 UAH. Prior to this, my daughter had contacted the hotline about suspicious activities related to her cards. The hotline operator responded that they did not understand her. After that, the bank proceeded to issue loans to a non-working woman with a small child without even calling her to confirm that she was the one taking out the loans," the complaint states.
The affected party reported the matter to the police, filed a complaint at the bank branch, and initiated legal proceedings. However, the bank has yet to contact the customers or provide any information regarding the investigation's progress.
The complainant is also outraged that the loans were issued despite the prior report of suspicious activity. The decision involved the deputy head of the operational service line, raising further questions about the bank's actions.
The client notes that even after the fraud was established, the bank did not freeze the loans and continues to accrue interest, thus profiting from the situation.
