A client of the state-owned "PrivatBank" reported unauthorized withdrawals from her credit account. Despite having contacted the police, the bank is demanding payment of interest on the used credit, according to Politeka.net.

The client shared this incident in the reviews section on the "Minfin" website.

According to the woman, on the night of February 20, unknown individuals hacked her "Privat24" account and transferred funds from her "PrivatBank" card: 17,000 UAH from her debit card and 18,400 UAH from her credit card. In the morning, she discovered the missing money and missed calls from the bank's security service.

"The bank noticed suspicious transactions but did not stop them. When I woke up in the morning and saw the missed calls from the bank, I immediately logged into Privat24 to check my accounts and found the theft. Around 6:15 AM, I called the bank to report the theft," the victim recounted.

As reported by Politeka, after this, the criminals attempted to access her account again, leading to "Privat24" being blocked once more. PrivatBank confirmed the unauthorized access attempts.

However, a "PrivatBank" operator accused the client of allegedly sharing her personal data, which the fraudsters exploited. The woman also learned that the account to which the money was transferred had already been mentioned in previous complaints, yet the bank continues to service it.

What outraged the client even more was that "PrivatBank" demands payment of interest on the stolen credit funds and advises her to fully repay the loan to stop the accrual of interest.

"Since the bank is 'placing' the responsibility for the interest on the stolen credit funds on me. All the bank representatives I contacted immediately told me that to stop the interest from accruing, I need to repay the loan," the woman stated.
