Individuals sentenced to restriction or deprivation of liberty for crimes against Ukraine's national security may face limitations on their pension payments.
This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak. The relevant draft law was passed by the Verkhovna Rada in its first reading.

According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak ("Golos"), on January 8, draft law No. 10355 received support with 233 votes. If the document is adopted in full, it will lead to pension limitations for individuals convicted of:
- actions aimed at forcibly altering the constitutional order or seizing state power (Art. 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine);
- violating the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine (Art. 110);
- financing activities aimed at altering the constitutional order or seizing power (Art. 110-2);
treason (Art. 111); - collaborative activities (Art. 111-1);
- assisting an aggressor (Art. 111-2);
- diversion (Art. 113);
- espionage (Art. 114);
- obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations.
According to the explanatory note, this will serve as an additional preventive measure to ensure national security, protect public safety, international law and order, and peace. The document proposes:
- the assignment of pensions to individuals sentenced to restriction or deprivation of liberty for intentional criminal offenses, who are entitled to a pension under special laws, in accordance with the Law on "Mandatory State Pension Insurance";
- the payment of pensions to convicts during their sentence, in an amount not exceeding the subsistence minimum for individuals who have lost their ability to work, according to legislation.
