The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center warns about dangerous meteorological phenomena in Kyiv and the surrounding region.

A first level of danger has been declared in Kyiv and the region due to dense fog.

"Fog is expected overnight and in the morning of January 21, with visibility ranging from 200 to 500 meters (Level I danger, yellow)," — the message states.

Experts recommend that drivers follow these rules when operating vehicles in fog:

reduce vehicle speed;

turn on fog lights along with low beam headlights;

maintain a safe distance;

when stopping the vehicle, activate the hazard lights;

avoid sharp maneuvers during fog.
