Ukrainians facing difficulties in paying utility bills may receive state assistance in the form of subsidies or benefits.
The Ukrainian Pension Fund has provided information on how Ukrainians can claim unpaid benefits or subsidies.
Who is eligible for receiving unpaid funds?
In the event of the death of a housing subsidy recipient in monetary form, the value may be transferred to another person specified in the certificate of registered residents at the dwelling. Additionally, the right to receive payment is held by:
a guardian or custodian of a child under 18;
a guardian of a person officially recognized as incapacitated.
The payment is made for the entire month in which the recipient passed away.
To receive the funds, household members for whom the subsidy or benefit was calculated must submit an application to the Ukrainian Pension Fund within three months after the recipient's death.
In the case of the death of a beneficiary who received benefits in cash form, family members have the right to claim unpaid funds. The application should be submitted before the end of the budget period.
Required documents for receiving payments
Ukrainian legislation does not allow for the inheritance of unpaid subsidies or benefits. Therefore, to receive the funds, it is essential to promptly contact the Pension Fund with the following documents:
bank account details of the applicant;
a copy of the death certificate of the recipient.
Relatives must adhere to the established deadlines for submitting applications; if deadlines are missed, it will be impossible to receive payments. Proper documentation is crucial for the successful acquisition of the owed funds.
