There are numerous non-perishable products that do not require refrigeration, many of which also do not need to be cooked and can be stored for years.
So, which products can be stored for a long time without refrigeration?
Bottled water. Unopened bottled water can be stored indefinitely without refrigeration, although its taste may be affected by storage conditions (including what else is stored around it, where it is kept, and whether it is exposed to sunlight).
Sugar. When stored in a pantry, in a dark, dry, and cool place, sugar will not spoil... ever. However, for the best quality, use the product within two years.
Low-acid canned goods. Low-acid canned items, such as meats, beans, peas, soups, or vegetables, or canned tuna, can be stored for two to five years without refrigeration.
High-acid canned goods, such as tomato sauce and canned fruits, can last up to 18 months without refrigeration.
Rice and dried pasta. You can keep these products in the pantry for up to two years.
Dried beans. Dried beans, such as kidney beans, are one of the most underrated foods and can be stored for up to two years without refrigeration.
Honey. Just store it in a cool, dark place, or it may crystallize.
A product like oil will stay fresh for two years in a cool, dry location.
Dried fruits. Your favorite afternoon snack will last in the pantry for one to two years.
