In 2025, the assessment will be conducted in the format of the National Multidisciplinary Test; it has been revealed which subjects are mandatory for the NMT 2025.
The Verkhovna Rada has approved draft law No. 12053 regarding the rules for conducting the state final certification and the admission campaign for 2025.
The draft law stipulates the implementation of the national multidisciplinary test (NMT) instead of the External National Assessment. This was announced by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
The corresponding draft law received support from 258 members of parliament.
Thus, in 2025, admission to higher education programs based on complete general secondary education, junior specialist, and bachelor's degrees will be based on the results of the entrance exams from 2022 to 2025.

Which subjects are mandatory for NMT 2025:
The NMT 2025 test will include three mandatory subjects: "Ukrainian Language," "Mathematics," and "History of Ukraine," along with one elective subject: "Foreign Language," "Biology," "Geography," "Physics," "Chemistry," or "Ukrainian Literature."
It is also known that the State Final Certification for fourth, ninth, and eleventh grades is not planned.
Accordingly, the NMT will be taken by graduates who are applying to higher education institutions.
