Assumptions that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing to withdraw from the Kursk region are currently completely unfounded, and the Kursk operation continues to fulfill its objectives.
This was stated by military expert, retired Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Sergey Grabsky, in an interview with Politeka Online.
The expert pointed out that although the enemy has not deployed troops to the Kursk region from the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions, they also have not brought in enough troops to those areas.
"In other words, the reserves that were intended for operations specifically in the Donetsk direction have been compelled to engage in combat in the Kursk region, and even these forces and resources were insufficient. Therefore, we are discussing the presence of individuals of North Korean nationality in this territory," – stated Sergey Grabsky.
According to the military expert, the withdrawal of our troops from the Kursk region is already planned; no one intends to remain there indefinitely and hold the territory at any cost.
"A sufficiently significant grouping of Russian troops has become bogged down in combat operations in the Kursk direction, allowing us to address the tasks of a strategic defensive operation on enemy territory. Russian aviation and artillery are bombarding their own settlements, turning them into wastelands, much like what they are doing in the Donetsk region," – noted Sergey Grabsky.
