Some Ukrainian pensioners will receive an additional pension payment of 2361 hryvnias - this payment is intended for citizens belonging to specific categories.
It has been revealed who among the pensioners will receive an additional payment of over 2,000 hryvnias in January.
The head of the Pension Provision Department of the Cherkasy region, Tatyana Koval, explained that the additional payment will be granted to non-working citizens living in the areas of unconditional mandatory or guaranteed voluntary resettlement, provided they resided there as of April 26, 1986 (the time of the Chernobyl disaster) during the period from April 26, 1986, to January 1, 1993.
Koval noted that this additional payment is exclusively intended for the specified category of pensioners and will be disbursed throughout the duration of martial law. The payment is stipulated by the law of Ukraine "On the State Budget for 2025".
To determine the retirement age, one should compare their work experience with the current requirements. If desired, it is possible to purchase additional experience by paying 44% of the minimum wage for each month, which amounts to 3520 UAH. For instance, if you have 30 years of experience, you will need to pay an additional 42.2 thousand UAH for one extra year.
