In Ukraine, a maximum limit on pension payments has been established, which will remain unchanged until 2028 - the highest pensions are for deputies, but they are not the only ones.
This information is outlined in the Budget Declaration for 2025-2027.
Currently, the maximum pension amount is 23,610 hryvnias. According to legislation, it cannot exceed 10 living wages for non-working individuals (currently, this is 2,361 hryvnias). This amount includes the basic pension as well as all supplements and allowances.
The exception to the additional payments considered when establishing the maximum pension is the allowance for certain categories of individuals with special merits before the Motherland.
According to current legislation, the maximum pension can be assigned to the following categories of citizens: scientists; people's deputies; local government workers; civil servants.
In particular, some retirees will receive additional payments related to age. The amount of this supplement depends on the age category:
- retirees aged 70 to 74 years inclusive
- will receive a supplement of 300 hryvnias;
- for individuals aged 75 to 79 years inclusive, the supplement will be 456 hryvnias;
- retirees over 80 years old will receive a supplement of 570 hryvnias.
