Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has responded to the plane crash in South Korea, which resulted in the deaths of over 100 individuals.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the plane crash in South Korea. More than 100 people lost their lives as a result of the accident.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Zelensky on X (Twitter).

"The tragic news about the horrific Jeju Air plane crash at Muan International Airport in Muan County, Republic of Korea, which claimed so many lives. Every lost life is an immeasurable tragedy," the president noted.

Zelensky extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, the people of South Korea, and the acting president, Choi Sang-mok.

"We share your grief and stand alongside the Korean people during this sorrowful time," the head of state added.

Major Plane Crash in South Korea

Today, December 29, a plane crash involving a Boeing 737-800 operated by Jeju Air occurred at Muan Airport in South Korea. The aircraft was flying from Thailand but failed to land safely at the South Korean airport.

During landing, the landing gear of the plane did not deploy correctly, causing the aircraft to veer off the runway, crash into a wall of the airport, and catch fire.

There were 181 people on board. It is known that two individuals were rescued. According to media reports, the deaths of 124 people have been confirmed. Others are considered missing.
