On the weekend of October 19-20, cool daytime weather and nighttime frosts are forecasted in Ukraine, with light precipitation possible in certain regions.
This is reported by the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
A warning has also been issued regarding potential hazardous meteorological phenomena.
Forecast for October 19
On Saturday, variable cloudiness is expected across Ukraine. No precipitation is anticipated except in the eastern regions, Dnipropetrovsk region, Azov Sea area, and Crimea, where light rain is expected. Fog may occur in the western regions during the night and early morning hours. The wind will be from the northeast at speeds of 3-8 m/s.
During the night, strong frosts ranging from 0 to -3 °C may occur in the western, northern, and partially central regions, as well as in Chernihiv and Sumy regions. In other areas, temperatures will range from +2 to +7 °C. Daytime temperatures are expected to be between +9 and +13 °C, and in Transcarpathia, up to +15 °C.
Forecast for October 20
Sunday night will be even colder for most regions. The average nighttime temperature will range from 0 to -2 °C. Daytime temperatures are expected to be between +10 and +12 °C, and in Transcarpathia, up to +15 °C. Variable cloudiness will persist throughout the day, with no precipitation expected, although light rain may occur in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The wind will predominantly be from the southeast and northwest at speeds of 3-8 m/s.
Meteorologists warn that on October 19 and 20, strong frosts ranging from 0 to -5 °C (II level of danger) are forecasted in the western, northern, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, and Odesa regions. In Poltava, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions, ground frosts (I level of danger) are expected on October 19, and air frosts (II level of danger) from 0 to -3 °C on October 20. In the remaining areas, ground frosts (I level of danger) from 0 to -3 °C may occur on October 20.
