A tragic incident occurred in the Odessa region where a 12-year-old boy lost his life. He climbed onto a train car and was electrocuted.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the police of the Odessa region.
The tragedy took place around 8:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, at a railway station in the Podolsky district of Odessa region. The incident was reported to law enforcement by a dispatcher.
According to police information, the teenager climbed onto a freight train car and was electrocuted. The boy died on the way to the hospital.
Police are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the incident, after which a legal qualification will be determined.
"We emphasize once again that railway stations and trains are under high-voltage lines, which are dangerous not only upon contact but also from a distance," the police warned.
