“The situation at the front remains complex, with heavy fighting continuing. Currently, this is in the Donetsk region, specifically in the Pokrovsk direction. The enemy is approaching very closely to Kurakhove and is employing the same tactics they have used in other areas. What does this imply? They are attempting to encircle the town with the prospect of a complete operational encirclement,” reports Alexander Musienko.

As he explains, the enemy has made certain gains both from the northern flank and from the east, getting very close to Kurakhove, as well as on the southern flank, advancing after capturing Vuhledar. Our fighters, the expert emphasizes, are holding back some of the enemy's attacks and the pace of operations, but it is evident that they are pushing forward.

“Today, this will be a priority direction. Essentially, the enemy has identified the capture of Kurakhove and the establishment of a foothold around Kurakhove. The prospects of encircling Pokrovsk are also on the table. These are the plans that Russia will be attempting to implement before winter. That is, by December, around Christmas and the New Year. This is what the enemy is currently planning,” explains Alexander Musienko.

On the other hand, he notes, there is some positive news, as reported by Ukraine's Deputy Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Havryliuk. In early 2024, the ratio of artillery fire between Ukrainian and Russian forces was as high as 1:8 or even more in some months, whereas now it stands at 1:2.

As Politeka reported, Tabakh stated that Afghanistan was receiving 300 million dollars a day, while the US is not providing enough assistance to Ukraine.

Additionally, Politeka wrote about Musienko discussing whether the Russians are preparing to launch an offensive in Zaporizhzhia.
