The Mine Action Center confirmed the death of the soldiers.
"With deep sorrow and pain in our hearts, we announce the tragic loss of three soldiers from the Mine Action Center who gave their lives while fulfilling their military duty to the Motherland. As a result of this brutal terrorist act, Ukraine has lost brave warriors," they noted at the Center.

Later, local media reported that the explosion occurred in the center of Mykolaiv, near a dining establishment. The police confirmed the explosion, adding that it took place on Pohranichna Street.
Law enforcement also noted that, preliminarily, two people had died, and another eight were injured.
