Ukrainian forces have utilized the Psel River in the Kursk region as a natural barrier. It halts the advances of Russian and North Korean soldiers.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Forbes.
It has been noted that Russian and North Korean troops attacked Ukrainian fighters in the village of Plekhovo, located south of the Psel River. Due to the enemy's numerical superiority, the Ukrainian military was forced to retreat.
However, the retreat was strategic. The Ukrainian troops did not cling to Plekhovo at all costs but withdrew north of the Psel River. This river has created a significant natural barrier between the Russian-North Korean forces and the main Ukrainian unit in the area.
Now, for the enemy to launch attacks, they must cross open terrain under the fire of drones and artillery.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of autumn, North Korean soldiers have been spotted in the Kursk region.
Recently, Ukrainian intelligence reported that North Korean army units launched an assault on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region. The North Koreans suffered losses, prompting them to reinforce their ranks with fresh personnel.
