The Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted the most extensive strike against military facilities of the Russian Federation on the night of January 14. Targets were hit at distances of up to 1100 kilometers.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, on the night of January 14, the Ukrainian Defense Forces executed the largest attack on Russian military facilities at distances ranging from 200 to 1100 kilometers into Russian territory. Targets were struck in the Bryansk, Saratov, and Tula regions, as well as in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The storage base for petroleum products, "Kombinat Kristall," located in Engels, Saratov region, was attacked. Just yesterday, a fire that lasted for five days following a previous strike was extinguished there.
"The fire was successfully restored by the drone units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Main Intelligence Directorate," the General Staff reported.
Additionally, the Bryansk chemical plant in the city of Seltsy was hit. This is a strategic object of the Russian military-industrial complex, producing ammunition for artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, aviation, engineering munitions, and components for the "X-59" cruise missiles. Secondary detonations were observed on the plant's premises, which lasted for several hours. Furthermore, two enemy air defense missile systems, "Tor" and "Buk," were destroyed during the attack.
Units from the drone forces, special operations forces, missile troops, and Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense and the Security Service of Ukraine, were involved in this operation.
Strategic military-industrial facilities in Russia, including the Saratov Oil Refinery and the Kazanorgsintez plant, were targeted by units of the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Security Service of Ukraine. Fires broke out at both sites.
"The focused and systematic efforts to strike at facilities that supply ammunition, military equipment, and fuel to the occupying Russian army will continue until the complete cessation of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine," the General Staff stated.
It is worth noting that last night, Russian media reported on a large-scale attack across several regions of Russia. Russians complained about both missile strikes and drone attacks.
It is known that The Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the infrastructure of the Russian military airfield "Engels-2" again. This base hosts Tu-95MS and Tu-160 aircraft from the 22nd heavy bomber aviation division of the Russian Federation.
Ukrainian military also delivered a precise strike on the Bryansk chemical plant in the city of Seltsy. This facility is a strategic part of the Russian military-industrial complex.
