The Russian army has intensified its activities across several fronts. The situation around Pokrovsk remains the hottest.
This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the OSUV "Khortytsia".
According to military sources, in the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians attempted to leverage their numerical superiority to breach defenses in the areas of the settlements: Baranovka, Vodyane Vtoroye, Mirolyubovka, Luch, Lysovka, Dachenskoye, Udachnoye, Uspenovka, Nadievka, Andreevka, and Dachnoye.
Additionally, as a result of assault actions and fire impact, some of our positions were destroyed. Measures are currently being taken to prevent further deterioration of the tactical situation.
Over the past 24 hours, in the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted to attack the Defense Forces' positions in Volchansk: suffering losses, they retreated.
In the Kupiansk direction, the adversary tried to breach our defenses in the areas of Kondrashovka, Petropavlivka, Stepnaya Novoselivka, and Zahryzovo: they were unsuccessful.
In the Lyman direction, the occupiers attempted to storm our troops' positions near the settlements of: Kopanky, Novolyubovka, and Kolodyazі. In the Yamplovka area, enemy forces conducted attacks using armored vehicles. Two BMPs and enemy personnel were destroyed.
In the Seversk direction, the Russian army attacked our fortifications in the Upper Kamensky area. To deliver assault groups aimed at advancing south of Bilohorivka, they used armored vehicles and ATVs. During the fire impact, one BBM and an ATV were destroyed. The search and elimination of remaining enemy paratroopers continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, fighting continues in the urban area of Chasovoy Yar. The enemy also attempted to breach our defenses in the Vasiyukivka area using armored vehicles, cars, and motorcycles. During the repulsion of the attack, our troops destroyed and damaged two tanks, four BBMs, and 27 motorcycles.
In the Toretsk direction, the attacking efforts of the occupiers were concentrated in Toretsk. In the Shcherbinovka area, the enemy attempted to deliver its assault groups using automotive equipment. A fire impact was conducted on a column that was detected in advance. The result - eight vehicles of the invaders were destroyed and damaged.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy has intensified offensive actions towards Konstantinopol, Novocheretovatoe, and Burlatskiy. In an effort to regain lost positions in the Zelenevka area, the occupiers attempted to deliver assault groups using buggies. The results of our artillery and UAV operators' efforts - two vehicles destroyed and five damaged. Efforts to locate and eliminate enemy personnel continue. Ukrainian soldiers are holding the defense, destroying the superior forces of the occupiers.
Currently, Pokrovsk has become a primary target for the Russians, with the occupiers attempting to breach the defenses there every day. This is why this section is one of the most challenging segments of the front.
According to Viktor Trehubov, a representative of the operational-strategic grouping of troops "Khortytsia", the Russians have changed their tactics for attacking Pokrovsk. Now, instead of attacking the city head-on, they are trying to encircle it.
It is noteworthy that as of early January, it was reported that approximately 7,300 civilians remained in Pokrovsk.
