Russian occupiers carried out an aerial bomb strike on Kharkiv around midnight on October 20. Currently, emergency services are inspecting the impact sites.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Kharkiv's city mayor Igor Terekhov.
According to the mayor, an explosion was heard in Kharkiv, and "relevant services have also been dispatched to examine the site of the guided aerial bomb (GAB) impact."
It is worth noting that at 23:47, the police of the Kharkiv region reported online about the detection of movements of guided aerial bombs (GAB / UAB) towards Kharkiv. Law enforcement agencies also urged compliance with information silence rules.
Additionally, local media and Telegram channels reported an explosion heard in the vicinity of Kharkiv around midnight.
Later, Mayor Terekhov stated that preliminary information indicated that "a number of private houses in the Novobavarsky district were affected."
"No information about casualties has been received," he added.
Recall that earlier, the Russian army struck Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs on the evening of October 15, and explosions were heard throughout the city. Impacts were recorded in the Kharkiv district during that incident.
It was also reported that on October 9, the enemy also targeted Kharkiv with GABs, hitting open areas in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
