A combat part of the Russian air-ballistic missile "Kinzhal" has been discovered and neutralized in the Lviv region. The enemy used it during a massive airstrike on Ukraine on August 26.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES).
The emergency responders noted that the combat part of the "Kinzhal" missile was found "almost two months" after the latest massive combined shelling of Ukrainian territory by the aggressor country.
The Service stated that the emergency responders "professionally and promptly carried out the neutralization of the missile's combat part to ensure the safety of local residents from potential explosions."
The neutralization of the enemy munition was conducted by the SES pyrotechnics.
Additionally, the emergency responders shared photos of how they retrieved the combat part of the Russian missile from a pit in the ground for neutralization.
0 1 2It should be noted that on August 26, Russian terrorists launched yet another combined air strike on Ukrainian territory, during which they fired 127 missiles and 109 drones. During this shelling, the invaders targeted, among other things, the energy infrastructure of Ukraine across 15 regions.
As energy workers pointed out at that time, these attacks represented an unprecedented strike. Notably, the Kyiv HPP was also subjected to enemy attack, but the station did not suffer critical damage.
It is worth mentioning that the recent discovery of dangerous remnants of the "Kinzhal" missile after the attack in the Lviv region is not the first. On September 1, SES sappers also retrieved combat parts of "Kinzhal" and X-101 missiles in this region.
