The winner of the twelfth season of the show "Master Chef", Valeria Matrokhina, has shared a recipe for an original autumn appetizer shaped like a pumpkin with Ukrainians.

There's no need to mess with making dough; we will use ready-made puff pastry. For the filling, the "Master Chef" champion has chosen an unusual combination of cheese and canned peach – give it a try, it’s incredibly delicious.

To prepare the original autumn appetizer in the shape of a pumpkin, "Master Chef" Valeria Matrokhina used:

  • puff pastry - 1 sheet
  • cheese (the "Master Chef" star recommends camembert or brie) – 1 piece
  • canned peach – 1 piece
  • egg yolk – 1 piece
  • cinnamon stick (for decoration) – 1 piece

We thaw the puff pastry according to the instructions on the package and roll it out slightly. The canned peach is mashed with a fork by "Master Chef" Valeria Matrokhina and placed in the center of the dough, topped with the cheese.

We wrap and seal the edges of the dough, turning it seam side down. After that, the "Master Chef" winner ties the cheese in the dough with culinary thread to create a pumpkin shape, as shown in the video.

On top, we brush the dough with egg yolk, place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and send it to a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20-25 minutes until golden brown.

Once the "pumpkin" is ready, we let it cool slightly before removing the thread. We decorate the appetizer with a cinnamon stick, which will serve as the "stem" of the pumpkin. Before serving, you can drizzle the appetizer with honey.
