The number of casualties in Poltava due to yesterday's Russian missile attack has increased once again. It is now known that there are 12 victims, including children.
This information comes from RBK-Ukraine citing the State Emergency Service (SES).
"Poltava: the death toll has risen to 12, among them - 2 children," the emergency service stated in a publication on their Telegram channel at seven in the morning.
The SES also reported that as a result of the Russian airstrike in Poltava, the number of injured stands at seventeen people, including four children.
"22 people have been rescued," the service reported.
Additionally, the emergency responders mentioned that the emergency rescue operation is ongoing at the site of the enemy attack.
Recall that on the morning of February 1, Russian terrorists struck Poltava during a combined air attack on Ukraine. The aggressors hit a residential building.
Rescue operations have been underway in Poltava for nearly a day following the Russian strike.
Throughout yesterday, the number of dead and injured due to the enemy shelling continued to rise. Late in the evening prior, the SES reported that a wounded person had died in the hospital, bringing the death toll to 11 at that time.
