In Zhytomyr, a driver hit two teenage girls. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the police of the Zhytomyr region.
"The traffic accident occurred on December 10 on Lesya Ukrainka Street. A forensic operational group from the Zhytomyr district police was present at the scene," the report states.
Preliminarily, around 17:53, a 21-year-old resident of Poltava region driving a ZAZ-Daewoo struck two girls, ages 11 and 13, who were crossing the road.
"As a result of the accident, the minors sustained bodily injuries and were taken to a medical facility. An on-site examination of the driver confirmed that he was sober," the police added.

Currently, police investigators are clarifying all the circumstances of the incident as part of a criminal case initiated under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of vehicles by persons managing vehicles) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
As reported, in Kyiv at Teremky, a bus at high speed crashed into a car, then veered onto the sidewalk and collided with a kiosk. One person died, and four were injured.
Additionally, an accident involving a tram occurred in Lviv. The driver hit two pedestrians - a woman and her two-year-old grandson, who were crossing the tram tracks at a pedestrian crossing.
