In South Korea, another Jeju Air aircraft encountered landing gear issues following the recent Boeing 737 disaster. The plane was compelled to return to its departure airport.

According to media reports, the aircraft was operating a domestic flight from Gimpo to Jeju. The publication states that the plane took off from Gimpo International Airport at 6:37 AM local time, but shortly after takeoff, the crew identified a problem with the landing gear.
The pilots alerted the 161 passengers about the malfunction, after which they returned to Gimpo at 7:25 AM local time.
Meanwhile, a representative from Jeju Air mentioned that after an additional inspection, it was determined that the landing gear was functioning normally, but the captain decided to return to the departure airport.
On December 29, a Jeju Air plane was en route from Bangkok, Thailand, attempting to land at Muan Airport in southern South Korea. However, during the landing, an accident occurred, and the aircraft landed on its belly, veering off the runway. Consequently, the plane crashed into a wall and exploded.
The disaster resulted in the deaths of 179 out of 181 individuals on board. Only two crew members survived and are currently in the hospital.
