In the village of Tsirkuny, located on the northern outskirts of Kharkiv, there are injuries due to yesterday's Russian shelling. The settlement was hit by enemy strikes using artillery weapons.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine referencing the head of the Kharkiv City Military Administration Oleg Synegubov.
"As a result of the enemy shelling in Tsirkuny, four individuals sustained injuries," the official stated.
Prior to this, information surfaced about strikes on Tsirkuny around 22:50 the evening before, on December 18.
At that time, the OVA noted that preliminary data indicated that Russian invaders used artillery during the strikes on this village.
The village of Tsirkuny is located in the Kharkiv district along the banks of the Kharkiv River. Its population exceeds 2,000 residents.
Tsirkuny experienced Russian occupation—the invaders took control of the village on February 24, 2022, the first day of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine.
It became a stronghold for enemy tank attacks on Kharkiv and artillery shelling in the Northern Saltivka area.
The village was liberated by Ukrainian defenders during the Kharkiv counteroffensive on May 7, 2022. However, Russian shelling of Tsirkuny continued afterward.
