The Main Inspection of the Ministry of Defense will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The effectiveness of the management processes will be assessed.
As reported by RBK-Ukraine, this was stated by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
Umerov believes that victory requires a thorough analysis of experience and an honest understanding of mistakes. This is especially true for the Ground Forces, which are the largest and strategically significant.
"Events in the Ground Forces directly affect the situation at the front. That is why I support the new commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapaty, having a complete picture of the state of affairs," Umerov stated.
For this reason, the Main Inspection of the Ministry of Defense will carry out a comprehensive analysis of the command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine:
Based on the results of the inspection, reforms will be implemented in the management system and staffing policy in the Armed Forces. Management processes will also be optimized. In addition, the combat readiness of units will be enhanced through new training approaches.
Recently, the media reported on the cruel treatment of soldiers by officers of the 211th Pontoon Bridge Brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces, particularly an incident where a soldier was tied to a wooden cross.
In this context, Brigade Commander Oleg Poberezhnyuk was charged with abuse of power.
At that time, Umerov announced that the Main Inspection of the Ministry of Defense would investigate these facts and announced the creation of the position of military ombudsman, who will be responsible for protecting the rights of military personnel.
