По информации Reuters, в США полагают, что Россия вскоре вновь активизирует "Орешник" против Украины.

In the United States, it is believed that Russia's "Oreshnik" will not significantly change the course of the war. However, the RF may strike Ukrainian territory again.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Reuters.

According to a Reuters source, Russia may launch another hypersonic ballistic missile at Ukraine in the coming days. The U.S. believes that the "Oreshnik" is merely another attempt by Russia to terrorize Ukraine.

"We assess that the 'Oreshnik' does not change the game on the battlefield and is just another attempt by Russia to terrorize Ukraine, which will not be successful," said an official to the publication.

Despite the fact that the "Oreshnik" is indeed a new missile, the American official downplayed its usefulness. He referred to them as "experimental" in nature and stated that "Russia likely possesses only a small number" of such missiles. The official also mentioned that this weapon has a smaller warhead than other missiles that Russia has deployed in Ukraine.

Strike by the "Oreshnik" on Ukraine

On November 21, Russian forces carried out a missile strike on Dnipro, using an intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time.

Subsequently, dictator Vladimir Putin claimed that it was a test launch of the medium-range missile system "Oreshnik."

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine noted that the strike was carried out using the "Kedr" missile system. The head of the agency, Kyrylo Budanov, stated that the name of the missile program is "Oreshnik," while the missile itself is called "Kedr."

Military Watch Magazine reported that Russia allegedly can produce up to 300 "Oreshnik" missiles per year.
