A new fake news story from enemy propaganda is spreading on social media regarding the explosion in Mykolaiv that occurred on February 14. The incident was allegedly "explained" as an act of revenge by a woman against the Territorial Center for Recruitment due to her son's mobilization.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD) under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC).
The report concerns yesterday's explosion in the center of Mykolaiv, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals. Following this, false messages began circulating on Telegram channels claiming that "it was supposedly an act of revenge by one of the deceased against the TCR employees for the mobilization of her son."
The NSDC debunked the new enemy fake, verifying the information with the National Police of Ukraine.
"The center reports that the deceased did not have sons of conscription age. However, she did have two sons born in 2001 and 2011," the publication states.
Additionally, the NSDC noted that after checking the identity of the older son, "it was revealed that he is not a military serviceman."
The Center also reminded that they previously reported on how Russian special services are recruiting individuals in Ukraine to carry out acts of sabotage against the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"It is important to understand that saboteurs are guaranteed to either die or be imprisoned for a long time, losing their future," emphasized the NSDC.
Recall that recently, the SBU appealed to Ukrainians and warned that Russian special services have started using a new tactic - they are detonating operatives who mine TCRs at their request.
In Ukraine, there has been a recent surge in a series of terrorist acts related to TCR employees or their locations.
Previously, RBK-Ukraine reported that a terrorist act was committed in the building of the Rivne regional TCR, resulting in one death.
Furthermore, we remind you that on February 1, a military TCR employee was attacked and killed at a gas station in Pyriatyn, Poltava region. Then, on February 2, an explosion occurred near the TCR in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. On February 5, there was also news of an explosion in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi at the TCR premises.
As reported by the head of the CCD under the NSDC, Andrii Kovalенко, the operations involving explosions at Ukrainian TCRs are overseen by Russian special services.
