In the Rostov region, officials reported a missile attack and praised the performance of their air defense systems.

In the Rostov region, on the afternoon of Wednesday, December 17, air defense forces and resources were active. Residents reported a missile attack.

This information comes from RBK-Ukraine citing the acting governor of the Rostov region, Yuri Slyusary.

According to him, the region was allegedly attacked by missiles, and Russian air defense intercepted 10 of them.

As a result, a residential house caught fire in the Kamensky district due to fragments of a downed missile falling in the village of Malaya Kamenka. Emergency rescue services are currently on site.

He also mentioned that windows in a house on Rechnaia Street were damaged by shrapnel. Another missile fragment was found in the yard of a property on Karl Marx Street.

According to operational data received, there are no fatalities or injuries resulting from the attack. Information about the extent of the damage is being clarified.
