According to the Main Center for Special Monitoring, the earthquake occurred between Poltava and Reshetylivka at 18:21. The tremors were recorded at a depth of 3 km, with a magnitude of 3.67.
Preliminary information indicates that there are no negative consequences, and there have been no reports to the State Emergency Service.
It is worth noting that on November 9, 2024, the Main Center for Special Monitoring registered an earthquake near the village of Vasky in the Poltava region with a magnitude of 3.0 at a depth of 8 km.
According to the classification of earthquakes, such tremors are considered barely perceptible. The vibrations are felt only by a few individuals inside buildings, particularly on the upper floors.
Recall that in October, an earthquake was recorded in Chernivtsi region. The epicenter was located at a depth of 3 kilometers, with a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter scale. The source was near the village of Lomachyntsi in the Dnistrovskyi district. An earthquake had previously occurred in this area in November 2023.
