A resident of Poltava has been sentenced to six years for insulting military personnel and assaulting a police officer.
This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Poltava Regional Prosecutor's Office.
According to RBK-Ukraine, the case involves Poltava fitness trainer Roman Zavolok.
Investigators found that in the summer of 2023, the man repeatedly clashed with employees of the Poltava territorial recruitment and social support centers. He used derogatory language to insult the military personnel who were performing their duties.
Additionally, on August 29, 2023, during a document check by police officers, the Poltava resident behaved provocatively, ignoring requests to cease his unlawful conduct, and during his arrest, he resisted and inflicted bodily harm on one of the law enforcement officers.
For his actions, he was sentenced to six years behind bars with the confiscation of half of his property.
