The regional military administration reported casualties and injuries from Russian shelling in the Kherson region.

Over the past day, Russian occupiers have shelled nearly fifty settlements in the Kherson region, including the regional center, the city of Kherson. As a result of these enemy attacks, there is one fatality and several injuries.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration (OVA), Oleksandr Prokudin.

The official provided operational data on enemy shelling and its consequences from 06:00 on January 11 to 06:00 on January 12.

It was noted that in addition to Kherson, Russian troops also targeted the settlements of Berislav, Tomina Balka, Aleksandrovka, Stanislav, Osokorivka, Tomarino, Antonivka, Havrylivka, Zmeivka, Sadove, Prydniprovsk, Inzhenerne, Burhunka, Novoraisk, Blahovishchenske, Vyryvka, Veseloe, Veletenske, Dniprovsk, Dudchany, Novotyahynka, Novoaleksandrovka, Ponyativka, Molodizhne, Monastyrske, Mykhailivka, Mykolaivka, Nikolske, Olhivka, Odradokamenka, Tyahynka, Tokarevka, Razliv, Kazatske, Kostyrka, Kachkarivka, Ivanivka, Lvivske, Yantarne, Shlyakhove, Shyroka Balka, Zelenivka, Zolota Balka, Krasny Mayak, Ukrainka, and Belozerka.

For strikes on these towns and villages, the Russian invaders used both artillery and aviation.

Consequences of the Shelling

According to the head of the OVA, one person was killed and two others were injured due to Russian strikes in the region.

The official reported that the Russian army targeted social infrastructure and residential areas of the settlements in the region.

In particular, as a result of enemy strikes, 2 apartment buildings and 8 private houses were damaged.

"The occupiers also destroyed a warehouse and private vehicles," the head of the OVA added.

Shelling of Kherson and the Region

As noted by the local authorities, in recent weeks, shelling by Russian occupiers has significantly intensified. It is also reported that attacks using FPV drones, which the enemy particularly employs to strike vehicles with people, have become more frequent.

According to the head of the OVA, Russian troops are using attacks on civilians in Kherson to train their drone operators.

It is worth mentioning that on January 8, due to intensified shelling by Russian forces, bus services were temporarily halted in settlements near Kherson.

Additionally, it was reported that on April 9, Russian terrorists dropped 3 guided bombs on Kherson, resulting in injuries from the strikes.
