A tragic incident occurred in the Kyiv district of Odessa. A mother and her five-year-old child fell from a window on the 16th floor.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the press service of the National Police in the Odessa region.
According to law enforcement, the woman and her child fell from the window of a high-rise building in the morning of February 5.
Preliminary reports indicate that the woman died at the scene from her injuries, while the approximately five-year-old child was hospitalized.
Authorities are currently working to establish the identities of the victims. An investigative operational group and juvenile police officers are on-site.
Further details will be provided once all circumstances are clarified.
Recall that last August we reported that a three-year-old child fell from a window in Odessa. Authorities determined that the accident occurred when the boy's father briefly left for another room. The child climbed onto the windowsill using a stool, leaned on the mosquito net, and fell out.
A similar incident also took place in Kyiv. However, during that incident, drunken parents failed to supervise their two-year-old daughter, resulting in her falling from a high-rise building.
Earlier, we reported that in October 2023, a brother and sister jumped from a 24-story building in Kyiv. They did not survive.
