On Sunday, January 12, the Russian army struck critical infrastructure in the city of Myrnohrad. A large fire broke out there.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

According to rescuers, on Sunday, January 12, the Russians shelled the city of Myrnohrad in the Donetsk region. They hit a critical infrastructure facility, resulting in a fire.

Firefighters quickly localized the blaze over an area of 200 square meters. However, due to renewed shelling, they were forced to suspend their efforts.

On the same day, the Russian army also struck Kramatorsk. Fires broke out on the premises of a local enterprise. Rescuers extinguished the flames that covered an area of 220 square meters.

Situation in the Donetsk Region

It is important to note that Russian troops continuously shell populated areas in the Donetsk region. The Russians still aim to reach the border between the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, but so far, they have not succeeded.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first time Russia has shelled Myrnohrad. For instance, in September, Russians shelled Myrnohrad twice in the Donetsk region. During the cleanup following the first strike, the invaders struck the area of the local market again.
