The first full-scale exercises of the NATO multinational brigade will take place in Latvia. They are scheduled from November 1 to 14.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Delfi.

It is known that more than 3,500 allied soldiers will participate in the Resolute Warrior 2024 exercises, led by the NATO Northern Multinational Division. Their mission is to showcase the brigade's capability to conduct operations by integrating all subordinate and supporting units.

"The training of the deployed NATO multinational brigade in Latvia is a clear and unequivocal proof of the allies' presence in the Baltic region and their readiness to defend Latvia alongside the National Armed Forces if necessary," said Latvia's Minister of Defense Andris Sprudzs.

The Resolute Warrior 2024 training demonstrates the ability of the NATO multinational brigade in Latvia to rapidly deploy forces, maintain command, control, communication, and integrate all subordinate and supporting units.

On October 17, the NATO multinational battlegroup in Latvia, previously commanded by a Canadian mechanized infantry brigade, was transferred under the command of the NATO multinational brigade.

Currently, the brigade comprises military personnel from 13 NATO countries: Albania, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Iceland, Italy, Canada, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain.

Earlier, RBK-Ukraine reported that Poland and the Baltic states proposed building a defense line on the border with Russia and Belarus. They sent a corresponding letter to the EU.

Additionally, Warsaw recently announced the construction of modern fortifications on its eastern border.
