In two localities of the Kyiv region, during the night of January 24, fires broke out in residential buildings due to an enemy drone attack. The flames especially erupted in a high-rise building.

This information was reported by RBK-Ukraine, citing the acting head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration Mykola Kalashnyk.

The official shared on his Telegram channel that as a result of debris from a downed aerial target, "a fire occurred in a 10-story residential building affecting several apartments."

"Damage to the facade on the 6th to 9th floors is recorded," he added.

The representative of the administration also mentioned that all emergency services are working at the site. Additionally, evacuation of residents from the affected building has been carried out.

The head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration also reported that in another locality, a fire broke out in a private two-story house covering an area of 120 square meters.

"Information about casualties and the extent of damage will come later. The alert continues. Stay in safe places until the threat passes," the official added.

The Kyiv Regional State Administration did not specify which exact locality the high-rise fire occurred in. Meanwhile, local communities are suggesting that it is about Hlevakha. There is no official confirmation of this.

Nighttime Drone Strike by the Enemy

It was previously reported that on the evening of January 23, Russian occupiers launched strike drones of various types, including "Shahed," at Ukraine.

Due to the threat of enemy aerial attacks, an alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine.

After midnight, the Air Forces reported that they observed the movement of several groups of Russian strike UAVs from the northern direction.

Around one o'clock in the morning, an air alert was declared in Kyiv due to the threat posed by enemy drones. Additionally, explosions were also heard in Kyiv, and military officials informed that there were enemy UAVs in the vicinity of the capital.

Later, it became known about the operation of air defense in the Kyiv region, where Russian drones were detected.
