In the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, a driver struck a woman to death while she was crossing the street at a pedestrian crossing.

This was reported by RBK-Ukraine, referencing a statement from Kyiv police on November 20.

The traffic incident occurred yesterday morning, November 19.

"A 58-year-old driver of a Nissan, traveling along Ivan Vyhovskyi Street, hit a woman who was crossing the road at an unregulated pedestrian crossing," the statement said.

According to the police, the 52-year-old victim sustained injuries that were incompatible with life and died at the scene.

"The police detained the driver of the vehicle, who was sober. He faces up to eight years in prison for the offense," the agency noted.

As reported, earlier in November, in Kyiv at Teremky, a bus crashed into a car at high speed, after which it veered onto the sidewalk and crashed into a kiosk. People were killed.
