A man in Khmelnytsky ended his life while undergoing a military medical commission. An ambulance was called, but they were unable to save him.
This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing the Khmelnytsky Regional TCC and SP.
Military officials explained that during the verification of accounting documents at the TCC in the city of Khmelnytsky, a citizen of Ukraine was brought in who was wanted for violating military registration. He was taken in to update his registration data and undergo a military medical commission to determine his fitness for military service.
However, according to them, during the military medical commission, he took actions of a suicidal nature.
"At the scene, he was provided with immediate first aid and an ambulance was called. However, due to massive bleeding, he died in the ambulance. Investigative actions are ongoing. No physical or psychological violence was applied to the conscript," the TCC noted.
The TCC issued an important message to all conscripts of mobilization age. They emphasized that life is the highest value, even in the most difficult situations.
"Suicide not only robs a person of the opportunity to find a way out of the situation but also leaves pain and confusion for relatives and loved ones. It is important to remember that no legal or administrative procedure is so hopeless as to justify radical actions," the TCC stated.
The TCC points out that situations like undergoing a military medical commission can cause stress due to uncertainty or even panic. However, the military emphasized that this is not a reason to make decisions that cannot be changed.
"Military service is not a death sentence, and any questions regarding its passage can be resolved legally and constructively. It is worth remembering: there are no circumstances that justify losing one's life. Even in the most tense moments, there are always solutions, and there are always those ready to help," the military concluded.
We remind you that last autumn in Kyiv, at the Pechersk Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, one of the employees attempted suicide by shooting himself in the head with a pistol.
Additionally, in the fall, in the Poltava region, at one of the TCCs, a man's body was found at the conscription point with clear signs that he had taken his own life.
