A series of explosions was heard in Kharkiv amid a Russian airstrike.

This evening, February 24, several explosions were heard in the vicinity of Kharkiv. The region is under enemy air attack.

This is reported by RBK-Ukraine citing Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force and "Suspilne Kharkiv".

The military informed about the missile threat for the Kharkiv region at 22:43. Additionally, the Air Force reported the detection of launches from enemy tactical aviation of guided aerial bombs targeting Kharkiv.

Minutes later, local Kharkiv sources reported that an explosion was heard, likely outside the regional center.

Almost by eleven, new explosions were reported as being audible in Kharkiv.

Kharkiv Telegram channels noted that the explosions were quite powerful.

Meanwhile, officials have not yet reported any possible consequences of the Russian air attack on Kharkiv.

Russian Air Attack

As previously reported, on the evening of February 24, an air alert was declared in several regions of Ukraine due to a drone attack by Russian occupiers.

It was also reported that air defense systems were active in several regions.

In particular, representatives of the capital's authorities informed about the combat operations of the defenders of the sky. Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that air defense is active in the Darnytsia district due to threats from enemy attacks using "Shaheds".
